And so it begins...

Hello and welcome! As my profile states, I'm Sam Richards, a student at the University of Portsmouth, studying English and Creative Writing. I've decided to start a blog to discipline myself into writing regularly. It's hard to write for pleasure when you've been doing it for grades and assessments all day (that may be an exaggeration), so this blog will hopefully encourage me to get off my metaphorical backside.

 

I enjoy writing science fiction and fantasy, and will be posting some short stories and serialising some longer ones. Also I will post reviews of any new music, films and books I take in, and maybe some classics that I feel deserve some more attention. Then I guess I'll just let you know what I think about topics that inflame my moral/personal opinions, for example, my hatred of Muller yoghurts (we'll discuss this further).
